"Painting Stories: An Invitation to Dream and Imagine"

You have access on your phone, your TV, to news, movies, and documentaries that influence and inform you.
But a book invites you to imagine, to dream, to create worlds and characters in your mind. This is the magic I try to capture in my paintings.
When I paint, I don’t tell a complete story; instead, I offer you a key, an open door. It's not my imagination I am presenting to you, but a vision that seems to come from elsewhere, from this mysterious universe that surrounds us all. I paint in a state of release, as if my hand is guided by an external force, allowing characters, animals, and landscapes to emerge beyond my will.
I want to create a deep connection between visual art and your imagination. Each painting is the beginning of a story, a starting point for you. It is an invitation to explore, to continue the adventure I started with the shapes and characters that emerged from my brush.
In this quest, I have discovered that I create narrative and dreamlike painting. My work could be considered visual literature; a universe where I invite you to meet the Little Prince on a planet of birds, to travel through the Mongolian steppes, or to explore the mysteries of your first love. Each canvas is a beginning, each detail a question posed to your imagination.
I have sometimes thought of writing stories to accompany these paintings, much like Marion Zimmer Bradley with her Darkover series, where fans write and expand upon the universe she created. But I prefer collaboration, finding a writer who shares this vision, so my paintings can find an echo in words, creating a true dialogue between painting and writing.
My father used to call me a "Library Rat," and he was right. Without a television, with only a library full of books, I grew up nourished by words and stories. Every evening, he would read aloud tales of adventure and legend, stories that soaked into my imagination and today resurface in my work. Perhaps, like me, you will recognize the shadow of the Little Prince in some of my paintings…
I invite you to journey through my worlds:
1. A Meeting with the Little Prince.

Discover the painting titled "The Little Prince Visits the Planet of Birds." Under a golden sky, surrounded by birds with brilliant feathers, the Little Prince seeks answers, friends, and stories.

2. un extraordinaire voyage en Mongolie,

A scene inspired by my daughters' travels in Mongolia, where a family prepares for the transhumance in a golden valley, protected by a majestic eagle and blessed by prayer flags.

4. A Reflection on How Others See You.

Explore the mystery of those gazes that seem to follow you, of these women who wait for a secret or a confession in the painting "Wherever You Are, Their Eyes Follow You."
