I wanted to be a bird but a fox tamed me.

In the wake of a blue feather, a story comes to life. My painting, The Dreaming Child and the Bird Woman , captures a moment suspended between dream and reality, where a solitary child spreads her imaginary wings to explore new worlds. It is an ode to creation, to escape through the imagination, and to the courage to reconnect with the earth after flying so high.
Inspiration drawn from childhood
As a child, I was a little girl like no other, perhaps a little ahead of my time, a little lonely. My refuge was books: The Adventures of Nils Holgersson , or The Three Musketeers, the books of Jules Verne . These pages transported me into dreams of flight and adventure, taking me away from an often solitary daily life. This painting tells of this need for escape, this desire to explore distant horizons while seeking a deep connection with what anchors me in reality.
Symbolic elements
Each element of the painting carries a part of this story:
The child : She sees herself with wings, embodying the dream of being free and light like a bird.
The Bird Woman : She symbolizes awakening, a protective and inspiring figure who whispers secrets of rebirth.
The Little Prince : I was bullied all year in fourth grade, where they sang to me about the emperor, his wife, and the little prince, because the emperor was my father, his wife was my mother, and the little prince was supposed to be me. I managed to turn it into a positive thing, and now he accompanies me regularly.
The Fox : He watches over us, both a guide and an echo of the memories of this grandfather in the Cévennes. We have tamed each other and today the Fox embodies the spirit of connection and trust.
the clouds, symbol of my technique of interpreting the background of my canvas, done randomly.
Birds, often present in my paintings (the little prince visits the planet of birds, opens the birdcage, travels through time and mythology...) symbolize freedom
An invitation to travel
My painting is an invitation to stop, to contemplate, to lose oneself in its details in order to better find oneself. The blue and gold hues, the fluid lines, and bursts of light seek to capture that fleeting moment when the spirit rises before descending, enriched by a new perspective.
A personal reflection
This painting is not just a visual work. It is a dialogue between the child I was and the adult I have become. It carries a simple message: stop being afraid to create connections, even fleeting ones. It is in these connections that lies the beauty of the ephemeral, of pure emotion.
A work that continues to live
Each glance at the painting tells a new story. I invite you to let yourself be guided by the child in you, to let your imagination take flight. Whether you are a reader, a dreamer, or an artist, this painting is a gateway to escape.
And you, what story do you discover there?
The calligram inscribed on the canvas:

In the blue shadow, a feather rises,
The child wakes up, a little dreamer.
Its wing opens as in a dream,
Ready to dance in the mysterious wave.

The cloudy faces stand still,
Their dance suspended in the breath of the wind.
Under their gaze, the stars electrify,
The sky opens, a bright world.

The bird woman, with her golden feathers,
Whisper a secret in the hollow of silence.
“Here below, wonders are to be explored,
Beneath your feet, the magic of a rebirth.

The fox watches, a sparkle in his eyes,
Its tail draws a path of hope.
“Come closer, child, I will tame you, if you wish,
And you will see the beauty of a confidence.
The Little Prince, with the light scarf,
Turn his gaze towards the Promised Land.
In his eyes, the reflection of the child of the earth,
A bond is formed, and we improvise.

The child stretches out his hand towards the fiery fox,
His confidence blossoms, a promise is born.
Their gaze attracts them like a magnet,
Dream and reality unite forever.
Sit down so you don't risk falling when you land.
Sweet dreams.
