In my latest artistic explorations, two paintings stand out, both in their themes and the emotions they evoke. These works, Gaia’s Call and The Fall of the Angel, represent not only a reflection on our connection to the Earth but also a deeper look at our internal struggles and the symbolic dimensions of human experience.

Gaia’s Call: A Message of Harmony

Gaia’s Call is an attempt to address the cycle of violence that often consumes us. The story behind the painting revolves around a warrior with a red crest who, after killing a woman, faces the intervention of Gaia, the primordial Earth goddess. The woman's soul, foreseeing a future son, calls upon Gaia to stop the cycle of hatred and revenge, embodied by an archer fueled by grief and rage. Gaia raises her hand, stopping both the warrior and the archer, restoring peace between humans and with nature.

This painting, with its vibrant hues and mystical figures, aims to invoke a reflection on our relationship with violence, our capacity for forgiveness, and the greater harmony we can achieve when we look to the Earth and the universe for guidance.

The Fall of the Angel: A Struggle Between Creation and Destruction

On the other hand, The Fall of the Angel explores a more intimate, personal journey. It is a reflection on the fine line between creation and destruction. The angel, who loses his wings to the burning clouds, represents the fragility of beings and the inner conflict we all face as creators. Through the delicate movements of ink and the vivid spread of scarlet with a palette knife, the painting embodies the transformation from a creator to a destroyer and then back to a redeemer.

In this work, Pegasus is born through my brush, symbolizing redemption and hope. The angel, who was once consumed by the flames, is saved by the same hand that nearly destroyed him. This narrative of fragility and resilience speaks to the delicate balance we all navigate between our destructive impulses and our capacity for compassion.

Colors as Emotion

By bringing these two paintings together in this article, I hope to offer a comprehensive look at my latest creations. Together, they form a reflection on our connection to the Earth and to ourselves, and on our ability to find meaning through art, despite the challenges we face. Whether you're drawn to the vibrant colors of Gaia’s Call or moved by the spiritual symbolism of The Fall of the Angel, I hope these works inspire you to reflect on your own relationship with the world. And for those moments when reflection isn’t what you seek, sometimes, like watching a sunset, it’s enough to simply let yourself feel the emotions through the vibrations of the colors.
